Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes help Raptors beat Pacers 132-131

(Indianapolis) Pascal Siakam scored 36 points, Scottie Barnes rushed for the dunk that made the difference with 27 seconds left in regulation and the Toronto Raptors defeated the Indiana Pacers 132-131 on Wednesday.


Barnes had 20 points and 11 rebounds and his dunk put the Raptors ahead 130-129. It was the last of five lead changes in the final 1:22 of the game.

Buddy Hield missed a three-pointer that could have given the Pacers the victory with 1.2 seconds left. He finished the game with 31 points on the clock. Tyrese Haliburton provided 33 points and 16 assists.

Montrealer Bennedict Mathurin was excluded from the Pacers’ starting lineup for a second game in a row. He was limited to five points, two assists, a steal and a block in just under 24 minutes of play.

A Haliburton three-pointer gave the Pacers a 123-116 lead with four minutes left.

OG Anunoby gave the Raptors the lead again with a three-point basket with 1:22 to go. The Pacers took the lead two more times before Barnes put the Raptors ahead for good.

Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa did not play in the game due to right knee soreness.
