Frank Darcel had probably gone on vacation for a few days to Spain, and was to stay there to rest. Very attached to his native region which he never left, the man was politically committed to its independence. He had joined numerous lists, such as that of the 2019 European elections, or that of the 2020 municipal elections, where he tried to become mayor of Rennes. He had been married for many years and had three daughters.
