Frank Darcel was only 65 years old, and has known a thousand and one lives. After co-founding the group Marquis de Sade, the man got closer to Étienne Daho, with whom he formed a very beautiful friendship. He accompanied him on several of his albums and singles, such as Fallen for France in 1985. Subsequently, Frank Darcel collaborated with the international group Eurythmicsthen with Pascal Obispo, for his album Along the riverreleased in 1989. He tried politics, but didn’t achieve the same success
Member of the Breton Party, an autonomist party campaigning for the independence of Brittany and the creation of a federal Europe, Frank Darcel was also very involved in politics. He ran in the 2009 European elections, but only received 2.5% of the vote. He also participated in the 2010 regional elections, again obtaining only 4.29% of the votes. In the municipal elections, he led the Rennes Bretagne Europe list, which obtained 3.82% of the votes. In 2019, he presented himself to become mayor of Rennesbut had received only 1.92% of the votes.
