The Domingos storm leaves its mark. The Pas-de-Calais department was placed on red “flood” alert by Météo-France on Monday, November 6. At the same time, five departments are placed on orange vigilance for “floods” and two for “rain-flooding”, according to the institute’s vigilance bulletin published at 4 p.m. The coastal river Aa is affected by the risk of flooding, specifies Météo-France. The “flood” alert concerns Deux-Sèvres, Charente-Maritime, Charente, Gironde and Dordogne. The orange “rain-flood” alert concerns the North and, again, Pas-de-Calais.

The Aa is affected at Saint-Omer by a “exceptional flood capable of exceeding the historic flood of 2002”, details Vigicrues. The red alert applies until Tuesday evening.
