James William Awad, the party organizer aboard a Sunwing flight, was fined for breaking curfew while crossing the border in a van.

The intervention of the agents of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) took place on the night of January 16 to 17, sources confirmed to The Press.
It was around 3 a.m. that the police authorities of the MRC de Napierville arrested the 28-year-old man on Highway 15, near Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle. He was in a U-Haul moving vehicle with two other people. They each received a statement of offense for $1,500.
Awad had documented his return from the trip on social media. He did not mention being arrested.
Mr. Awad, who says he made his fortune by creating new methods of programming websites, has bought nearly 17.5 million in real estate since 2018. Six of his properties are on the same end of the street in Bois-des -Filion, in the northern crown of Montreal.
