Saturday August 20, part of the city of Cargèse, in Corse-du-Sud, remains deprived of electricity, water and network. Live on site, journalist Clément Tronchon takes stock of the situation.

“I am at the entrance to Cargèse (Corse-du-Sud), where electricity has just been restored, via a generator, to a large part of the town”reports journalist Clément Tronchon, live from the city Corsica, Saturday, August 20. According to EDF, “1,000 customers were connected to the network, at the moment, 15 minutes ago”. Another part of the town is still without electricity, it should last a few more days, “the time that EDF can connect the entire network, because electric poles, lines have been cut”relates the journalist.

“The real problem is the lack of water. (Saturday August 20), most homes and businesses in Cargèse were without water. We saw people going to drink at the village fountain and many cars that left all morning to go to the surrounding towns”, describes the journalist. The telephone network remains “very unstable”concludes Clément Tronchon.
