The lifeless body of a 60-something woman was found in a Parc-Extension apartment on Sunday shortly after police intervened in another apartment block in the same apartment block where a 23-year-old man was injured in the upper body. .


The authorities intervened at the second address, not far from the intersection between avenue Querbes and rue de Liège Ouest, on Sunday, around 1:30 p.m., after receiving a call via the 9-1-1 line.

They first found the man there, with stab wounds to the upper body, but conscious, who was immediately transported to hospital. His life would be out of danger.

A 26-year-old woman was later arrested at the scene.

“Additional information during the event led to the verification of a second nearby dwelling where the body of a woman aged approximately 60 years was discovered inanimate,” said a spokeswoman for the Police Department of the city. City of Montreal (SPVM), Véronique Dubuc, Sunday evening.

It is still not known if the body of the sexagenarian had any injuries given that the SPVM investigators had just arrived on site at the end of the afternoon.

A security perimeter has been established around the premises.
