Park-Extension | A residence targeted by gunfire

(Montreal) Shots were fired Thursday evening in a window of a residence in the Parc-Extension district, in Montreal, but the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) did not report any injuries.


The explosions would have occurred around 7:45 p.m., but the police were not notified until later, around 10:30 p.m., according to what explained his spokesman Raphaël Bergeron.

When they arrived at the scene – a residence on Bloomfield Avenue – the police saw the impacts in the window, but were able to confirm that no one was injured.

No suspects were immediately located.

The SPVM has confirmed that the occupant of the premises will be met to assess whether he had received threats or if he could help to understand why he was targeted.

The forensic identification of the Montreal police went to the scene to analyze the scene and recover possible casings left behind.
