Paris Saint-Germain candidate for the acquisition of the Stade de France

Will the story between Paris Saint-Germain and the Parc des Princes come to an end? PSG is a candidate for the takeover of the Stade de France, France Bleu Paris learned from the club on Friday March 10, confirming information from the daily The Team. The Stade de France, located in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), must soon be the subject of a call for tenders to sell the enclosure or grant a new concession for the summer of 2025. Its cost is estimated at 600 million euros.

According to information from France Bleu Paris, the Stade de France is the second choice of the Parisian club which especially wishes to remain at the Parc des Princes, number one choice of PSG, despite the disagreements with the town hall of Paris. The club has made it known that it is ready to finance expansion work on the Parc des Princes, in order to increase its capacity from 47,000 to 58,000 places, on condition that it becomes the owner of the enclosure.

The mayor of Paris has however indicated that she will not cede the Parc des Princes to the owners of the club. “It is a firm and definitive position.
