Paris Saga: Crossing Paris

For a long time, Parisians have loved to cross Paris in a festive way, once drinking Beaujolais at the “marathon of elbow lifters”, a friendly and crazy drift through 42 bistrosa marathon created by the writer Antoine Blondin and the Singer Carlos.

So if this marathon of elbow lifters no longer exists, others have taken over, in particular thanks to the bistro restaurant “La petite Périgourdine” in the 5th arrondissement which celebrates with dignity each year the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau. It starts with a lunch with tripoux d’Auvergne, a dish for repentant “vegan”, it continues with a weighing of ham whose bets and profits are donated to the Red Crossthen a trip by bus from the 70s from the RATP, direction of other good bistros in the capital and it ends, back to square one, for a musette ball at the little Périgourdine, rue des écoles.

Attention today is the 15th edition of the crossing of Paris and it is not over. Other enlightened organize “a crossing of Paris” identical to the film by Claude Autant Lara with Louis de Funès, Jean Gabin and Bourvil. More details in our podcast with the president of the association, Kévin Douvillez.

Excellent idea to cross Paris today with suitcases filled with pigs and bottles of wine very cool, because it will be hot. Departure 9 am at 45, rue Poliveau, just like the film.

And if you missed the start, you can still join these funny walkers from 1:30 p.m. on Georges Cain Square in the Marais district for a free snack and a musette ball.
