“We are going to fight with justice so that everyone has their share of responsibility”says Valérie Narjissi, the mother of rugby player Medhi Narjissi who disappeared at sea in August in South Africa, Friday October 4, at the microphone of France Bleu Occitanie. This statement comes as Robin Ladauge, the physical trainer and Stéphane Cambos, the manager of the U18 team, present on the day of the accident, blame each other for their responsibility in the disappearance of the young man. The French Rugby Federation called for the dismissal of all team managers in a report published in September.

“What is disgusting, cowardly and shameful is not taking responsibility for the tragedy that happened”estimates Djalil Narjissi, the father of Medhi Narjissi, who points the finger at the entire French management. “They can say whatever they want in the media, it will not change the horror film we are experiencing. We no longer have our Medhi”regrets, for her part, Valérie Narjissi. “These are people that Medhi trusted and they don’t even respect him”she is indignant.

“The problem is why this location was chosen and how this decision was made”underlines the family’s lawyer, Me Edouard Martial. “My goal is for justice to do its job even if it will never bring our son back to us”says the rugby player’s mother.

On August 7, Medhi Narjissi, a Stade Toulouse player, traveling to South Africa to play the International Series with the French men’s under-18 team, disappeared, swept away by the ocean, while his teammates and he were carrying out a recovery session organized by the team management on Dias Beach, at the Cape of Good Hope.
