Panthers–Hurricanes | The tie persisted in Carolina

We had predicted a very close series between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes, and if this first game is any indication of what’s to come, it will indeed be very close.

So after three periods of regulation time and two more periods of overtime, there was still no winner Thursday night in Raleigh, and the score was 2-2. A goal was disallowed for the Panthers in the first period of overtime, that of Ryan Lomberg, which was canceled due to Colin White’s obstruction of goaltender Frederik Andersen.

The two teams will meet at the same place on Saturday evening for game number two of the series.
