(Sunrise) Brandon Montour scored at 2:43 of overtime and the Florida Panthers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Friday night.
Eetu Luostarinen had a goal and an assist while Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart both added a goal for the Panthers, who posted their third straight win.
In the win, Matthew Tkachuk was involved in three Florida squad goals. Sergei Bobrovsky finished the game with 21 saves.
Caleb Jones, Cole Guttman and Boris Katchouk have threaded the needle for the Blackhawks, who have suffered a sixth loss in their last seven outings.
Jujhar Khaira set the stage for two Blackhawks goals, which saw goaltender Petr Mrazek save 39 pucks.
In overtime, the puck landed on Montour’s stick blade, who spun quickly to throw it backhand. This shot surprised Mrazek between the pads.
