On June 29, 2015, he fired into a vehicle, killing 25-year-old Malachi Rosenfeld and injuring other passengers. The attack took place at a crossroads near the settlement of Chvout Rachel. He planned to lead “terrorist attacks against Israeli targets”added the army, which specifies that the 39-year-old man was sentenced to two life sentences.

Arrested three almost seven years after the facts

Moath Hamed was arrested by Israeli forces in April 2022, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, an association that defends the rights of Palestinians detained by Israel. In September 2019, another Palestinian, Fayez Hamed, was sentenced to life in prison for participating in the same attack.

Nearly three million Palestinians live in the West Bank, where around 490,000 Israelis also live, in settlements considered by the UN to be illegal under international law.
