Québec is actively preparing to welcome visitors in search of nature and inspiring discoveries. Here are some noteworthy new features.

Outaouais: Camp Fortune

The ski resort is innovating this year with its Sommet à Sommet zip lines, unique aerial courses that run 1.3 km through the Gatineau Hills. The adventure begins with a chairlift ride to the top of the Marshall run and then speeds off to the top of the McDonald run. The high point of this adrenaline-filled experience is a 15-meter leap into the void. Even if the experience is completely safe, it is optional: you can choose to take the stairs to get off the platform. To turn the adventure in full, it takes an hour and a half of exploration. Camp Fortune also offers 20 km of trails for mountain biking and hiking.

Regions of Quebec: Navette Nature

The “Nana” have just launched their new enhanced program to bring ecotourism enthusiasts to seven administrative regions of Quebec by public transit. Some must-see destinations are still served in several national parks, such as Mont-Tremblant, Oka or Yamaska. This year, the company, committed to sustainable development and the fight against climate change, is offering activities in new destinations: the Montagnes Noires park in Ripon, the Montagne d’Argent climbing and hiking park, or yet Montebello Mountain Biking. Some 75 outings are scheduled from June 17 to October 15. In addition, 18 free outings are offered in partnership with the City of Montreal in three nature parks in the city (Cap-Saint-Jacques, Bois-de-Liesse and Pointe-aux-Prairies). The rate ranges from $30 to $60 depending on the destination (children’s rates available).

Eastern Townships: Bora Boreal

Unprecedented and full of charm: new floating chalets are available for rent in Bury, in Haut-Saint-François. While they are well planted on the ice of the lake in winter, they float according to the light waves in the summer. These type of accommodations glamping resemble house-boats surrounded by opulent nature. Available for hire from July, they can accommodate up to six people (pet included). You can get to your accommodation by non-motorized boat, including a paddle board.

Gaspésie: Waterfall at Philomene

In the heart of Matapédia, the Solidarity Cooperative innovates with a circuit of via ferrata, operated with Parcours Aventures. Halfway between rock climbing and guaranteed hiking on a rock wall, this activity invites adrenaline seekers to discover the grandiose Gaspé landscapes, including the 33-meter-high waterfall, through rope bridges, suspended walkways and zip lines. . A gazebo with glass floor promises a highlight in the experience. Walking trails and picnic tables are accessible to everyone.
