This is the disturbing scene filmed by surveillance cameras in the area where another shooting took place on Tuesday afternoon in Laval. The sequence transmitted by a neighborhood resident to The Press shows that children were within a few meters of the victim.

A conflict between two street gangs would be at the origin of these multiple episodes of violence, learned The Press from various sources revolving around the criminal world.

Course of events

Emergency services received a call shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday for gunshots on rue Normandin, near boulevard Le Carrefour, in the Chomedey sector. The suspect or suspects fired from a vehicle before fleeing, according to the Laval Police Service (SPL), which was unable to provide a description of the vehicle.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was hit in the leg and taken to hospital. We don’t fear for our life.

Junior Lemoyne Printemps died instantly while a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured. Their Dodge Charger was riddled with bullets, on the driver’s side, just a hundred yards from the parking lot. Two of the three other passengers suffered minor injuries from flying glass.

According to our information, the deceased is a member of the family of Jemsley Olivier Printemps Sanon. Better known by his stage name JPS, the man in his twenties is a member of the street gang Flamed Head Boys, according to various law enforcement sources.
