(Val-Des-Monts) A motorist lost her life and her passenger was injured in a road accident that occurred late Tuesday evening in Val-des-Monts in Outaouais, a few kilometers north of Gatineau.
The 33-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. As for the passenger, he suffered minor injuries, but he was still transported to hospital.
Public Security of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais specifies that its police officers were informed shortly after 11:35 p.m. that the road exit had just occurred at the intersection of Route du Carrefour and Montée Paiement, in Val-des-Monts. The vehicle would have rolled over.
When they arrived on scene, the police found that the driver and the injured man were still in the car, but that the young woman had lost consciousness. His death was confirmed shortly after.
A police investigation was undertaken to establish the causes and circumstances of the accident.
