A septuagenarian died after losing control of his vehicle on a curve in Kazabazua, in the north of Outaouais, Monday evening.
The accident occurred a little before 8 p.m. on Route 105, which links Gatineau to Maniwaki. The driver, a septuagenarian in his SUV, left the road on a curve and rolled several times, explains Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The man was ejected from his vehicle during the accident. Several resuscitation maneuvers were performed when the first responders arrived. The septuagenarian was then transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A patrol officer specializing in collision investigation was dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
