Nicolas Bay puts an end to the false suspense. The MEP and leading member of the National Rally, dismissed from office on Tuesday by the party for “sabotage” for the benefit of Eric Zemmour, announced on Wednesday evening February 16 that he “fully commits” with the far-right rival candidate of Marine Le Pen.

“I have decided to fully commit myself alongside Éric Zemmour in the presidential campaign because I deeply believe in his candidacy, his project and his strategy”says in Le Figaro the MEP. “By constantly seeking to appease the moral left, I think that we are making a political but also tactical error. And we now see that the candidacy of Marine Le Pen arouses a certain indifference”he adds.

In this interview, Nicolas Bay also denounces a National Rally “intolerant of the slightest criticism”punctuated by “forced departures”. And evokes the accusations of industrial espionage from his former party. “When you want to drown your dog, you accuse him of having rabies”reacts the MEP. “These are false accusations, and I filed a defamation complaint. (…) In reality, I asked to have a frank discussion, in front of the executive office and in the presence of Marine Le Pen, and for any answer I’ve been suspended!”he concluded.
