(Notre-Dame-Du-Mont-Carmel) A motorcyclist is between life and death following a violent collision that occurred shortly before 3 p.m., Monday, in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel.

Police officers from the SQ station in Shawinigan were called to go to Route 157, where a vehicle mowed down the motorcyclist.
According to the first information gathered, the motorcyclist was traveling in a northerly direction when he was hit by a vehicle that was making a left turn to enter the parking lot of a business.
The victim is an octogenarian. He was taken to the hospital to treat serious injuries and we fear for his life, reported SQ spokesperson Hélène St-Pierre.
An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the collision. The driver of the vehicle was alone on board and was not injured.
