The Ukrainian offensive continues on Thursday, August 15, in Russian territory. This is the ninth day of incursion. Ukraine claims to control 82 localities in the Kursk region. Report from close to the Ukrainian troops.

In northern Ukraine, on the road that leads directly to Russia, you can see armored trucks, 4x4s, and a coming and going of military vehicles. All of them bear the same inscription: a triangle, symbol of the Ukrainian operation on Russian territory. As journalists try to approach the border, soldiers block their path, explaining that it is a combat zone. Ukraine conducts its operations away from the cameras, the aim is to not give any tactical information to Russia in order to maintain the advantage.

To speak with soldiers, journalists are forced to take parallel roads. 2 km from the border, they meet Sacha, a soldier who participated in the Ukrainian incursion into Russia. He says he is not allowed to speak. Traveling on this road is also a way to understand the harshness of the fighting, and to meet wounded soldiers.
