The 25-year-old was eligible for partial free agency this year after completing a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the San Jose Sharks on July 15. They traded him to the “Sens” on October 24 and he finished the regular season with seven points in 63 games.
“Dylan’s agility is one of his main strengths,” said general manager Pierre Dorion in a statement. He quickly earned the trust of our staff of instructors as a specialist in numerical inferiority. It can be used in the center in any game situation.
Gambrell has played in 173 career National League games and has scored 30 points.
