The Ottawa Police charged four Montrealers on Friday in connection with a vehicle theft that occurred Thursday in New Edinburgh, a district of Ottawa.
At approximately 1:15 a.m. on December 23, police received a call regarding an ongoing theft of a 2021 Lexus RX vehicle.
Four men aged between 23 and 32 were arrested by the police in connection with this case at the scene of the crime. They are Ian Moroz, 23, Joash Whyte, 32, Eric Boutros, 30, and Jeremy Bernard, 24.
They were notably charged with attempted theft of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit an indictable offense.
Ian Moroz is also charged with an attempted theft of a 2020 Lexus that took place last November in the Glebe neighborhood of Ottawa. He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Ottawa police said in a statement. The other suspects are at large and are due to appear at a later date.
