“To people who are planning to travel, I say very clearly: this is not the time to travel,” said Federal Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos, during a press conference announced at the last minute on Wednesday. .
Guided “by caution”, the minister indicated that the progression of the Omicron variant internationally “makes him fear the worst. He warns travelers that there is a risk of contracting the virus internationally, as well as a risk of getting stuck abroad.
He ensures that the federal government’s ability to test travelers when they arrive at the airport, still insufficient last week, is constantly improving.
