According to her, “this means that we can imagine that other hostages will be able to be released in this context, and it also allows humanitarian aid to continue to enter Gaza and respond to the most basic needs”.
Qatar’s role
Agnès Levallois also returned to the role played by Qatar in the negotiations for the release of the hostages. “There is very good coordination with Qatar, which hosts the first American base in the region, in the Middle East, and there are therefore very strong relations between Washington and Doha,” she clarified. “Qatar has the possibility of negotiating with both Hamas and Israel”she added.
