Orthézien singer Landry Verdy is the guest of Happy Hour le Live!

Passionate about songs, compositions and texts, Landry Verdy followed in his mother’s footsteps. Writer, guitarist and composer, Landry lived in the sweetness of notes, verses and alexandrines that this mother artist also wrote to her fingertips. And then as in all great stories, there is THE meeting. For Landry, he’s a man who is passionate about music. Or rather, the music. Guy, play the guitar, the violin, the piano! And if he accompanies Dalida on stage, he is also a great lover of texts and bawdy songs. This is what young Landry feeds on, then gently begins to write and compose. First for him, then for his family, his friends. It runs alongside the “Trottoir d’en Face” in Orthez, but it is not yet ready. Or not sure of himself.

He therefore moved to Paris, where for seven years he worked in the shadow of musical production and worked for several French-speaking artists. He has in mind to know everything about this musical universe which conceals many secrets. As a result, from 24 to 32 years old, he no longer composes and sings. He multiplies the experiences, and resumes studies until a diploma in the Trade of Art and Music.
Then the pandemic, as for many others, plays its revealing role. He returned to Orthez, and surrounded himself with various authors, including Kalune, with whom he wrote and composed pop, folk and intimate melodies. The result is of rare authenticity. Landry Verdy, shares music, love and poetry to whoever wants to listen to it. No frills. It is of an overwhelming purity, which brings back to this feeling of plenitude, that only a voice and a guitar can offer, to accompany texts which are so many slices of life.
