Frank L’Hostis did not hide. Quite the contrary. In the 100% USO Tribune this Monday on Facebook Live on France Bleu Orléans, the Orleans goalkeeper affirmed his wish to continue the adventure (from the 25th minute) with the club he joined in July 2020, when his contract expires at the end of the season. “I feel very good here. Whether at the club but also in my family life in the Loiret. I am at an age where all the elements have to be taken into account and my family really likes it here”, first detailed the doorman from Nîmes.
“On the sporting level, I am very happy and proud to evolve in the USO, it’s been two seasons, I think I have been successful. I would like to stay“, continued Frank L’Hostis. Things are therefore clear. Keeping the goalkeeper, author of very good performances, like this Friday against Le Mans (2-1 victory), would allow the Orleans club to affirm its ambitions of return to Ligue 2.
“No regrets” not having been able to continue in Ligue 2
It was also discussed with the player trained at AS Monaco. And if a second division club came for him, what would they do? “It’s hard to answer… I don’t ask myself any questions. I’m doing everything I can to be as efficient as possible, today I want to continue the adventure, you never know, but basically, I feel really good here”, argues the player passed in particular by Amiens and Clermont before signing in the Loiret.
And Frank L’Hostis also says that he has no regrets about his career, and the fact of having had to give up on Ligue 2 to regain playing time in lower divisions with Le Puy: “A career is ups and downs. In Clermont, I signed in 2014, I made 10 matches and I injured myself, then I put two years aside… I took my pain patiently, without managing to leave. So there, we learn a lot about ourselves, we progress and we mature, it’s obvious. I wish it had gone better. I was 24 years old, it was the ideal club to impose myself in Ligue 2. But no regrets because otherwise, we do not advance and we only look back“
