Orientation Koh-Lanta: This candidate takes everyone by surprise by qualifying in record time

After weeks of competition, there are only five left in Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Totem. Bastien, Ambre, Géraldine, François and Jean-Charles all hope to complete this adventure. But first they have to face each other during the mythical orientation test. And this year, the rules are changing. They will not be three but four qualified for the posts!

The five finalists land on the beach opposite Denis Brogniart. Their mission is to identify one of three search areas: the upright stump, the mottled stone and the clump of bamboo. Then, within a radius of 15 steps, they must find a beacon with a color that corresponds to a direction and a number that corresponds to a number of steps. It is then necessary to return to the orientation table in order to know where to go. It is then that the facilitator announces great news to them: the cursed totem is there for a final curse. The two candidates who have not found a dagger will compete in a second orientation test ! Be careful, the holder of the fourth and last dagger will suffer another curse: his ordeal will be much more difficult…

François goes towards the clump of bamboo, Ambre and Jean-Charles towards the spotted stone, Bastien and Géraldine towards the upright stump. François, alone, quickly finds his bearings. Jean-Charles too, and he even falls on the beacon! Bastien and Géraldine also find their remarkable element, and the rope access technician quickly finds the beacon. His friend follows. The problem? They didn’t see the same color: he thinks he saw turquoise blue and she green. Bastien is wrong…

For his part, Jean-Charles spun to the orientation table and returned around the spotted stone. He’s not planning on hiding, but Amber seems to want to stay focused on finding the beacon. Ultimately, Jean-Charles finds his dagger in 36 minutes and is the first to qualify for the posts ! 36 minutes is 16 more than Francis from season 4 and Frédéric from season 8, who finished the race in 20 minutes. A nice surprise for him who remembers never having won a game in Koh Lanta. So it’s a first, and maybe not a last…
