This Wednesday morning, the ‘Sportwinter’ program was unveiled at the Kärntnermilch foyer in Spittal, marking the continuation of an exciting partnership with Kärntnermilch. The event saw the attendance of notable figures such as Kathi Truppe and Fritz Strobl.

Highlights of the Ski Season

ORF Kärnten is set to provide comprehensive coverage of the races featuring Carinthia’s ski talents through live broadcasts, engaging interviews, and vibrant social media updates. Among the female competitors, Katharina Truppe and Nadine Fest are ready to shine, with Truppe recently achieving an impressive 11th place in the Killington slalom. The male contingent boasts talents like Otmar Striedinger, Christian Walder, Marco Schwarz, Felix Hacker, and Adrian Pertl, who are all gearing up for the Ski World Championships in Saalbach this February. ORF Kärnten will ensure extensive reporting on this thrilling event.

Kathi Truppe expressed her determination, stating, “The initial races didn’t unfold as I had hoped, but I’m focusing on refining my techniques. My ultimate goal is to secure a medal at the World Championships.” Fritz Strobl added words of encouragement, “Kathi has adapted well to her equipment; she just needs to perfect her turns to reach the finish line for a shot at a medal.”

The Carinthian ski jumpers also made a strong statement this season, with Daniel Tschofenig’s premier victory and Maximilian Ortner’s first podium finish. Fans can look forward to the Women’s Ski Jumping World Cup events scheduled for January 5th and 6th at the Villacher Alpen Arena.
