Fans have been waiting for it for weeks: the Amazon Prime Video platform announced Tuesday, September 28 that the series on OrelSan, Never show that to anyone, will be broadcast exclusively from October 15.
OrelSan believed himself “lost in advance“(title of his first album) and he became a star of French rap. His little brother, he always believed in it and he has not lost a crumb of his rise, sticking to his brother’s basques with his camera . His images form the raw material of this original series of which Amazon has just unveiled the first trailer.
Co-directed by his brother Clément Cotentin (Blocked) and Christophe Offenstein (Les Petits Mouchoirs, How far is it), this six-episode series therefore looks back on the journey of the Norman rapper since his beginnings “through an intimate immersion behind the scenes of his life“.
The series is based on numerous personal archives, and in particular on the 2000 hours of images filmed by his brother Clément. The latter, who has always had faith in his big brother and in his dream of becoming a headliner in rap, followed him closely with his camera for twenty years.

The six episodes are also based on images filmed by his relatives, such as Skread, Ablaye and Gringe, but also by members of his family. Testimonies from his peers Akhenaton, Soprano, Oxmo Puccino, Stromae or GIMS complete this dive behind the scenes of an ascent.
Now 39 years old, Orelsan broke through in 2008 and his fame exploded the following year with his album Lost in advance, which has become a classic of French rap. Then author of two solo albums, including the formidable The party is over (2017), certified diamond record, and an album with Gringe under the name of Casseurs Flowters (2013), this heavyweight of French rap is also an actor and screenwriter.
But becoming an iconic rapper was not without difficulty: Orelsan’s career was strewn with clumsiness and pitfalls. The documentary will return in particular to the controversy surrounding the title Dirty whore released in 2009, which earned him high-profile lawsuits. He was finally released in 2016.
