The situation is slowly improving on the flood front. Orange “flood” vigilance was lifted on Tuesday April 2 for Charente, Charente-Maritime, Dordogne and Indre-et-Loire, according to the 10 a.m. bulletin from Vigicrues. Saône-et-Loire and Yonne, however, remain on red alert, while Aube, Côte-d’Or, Gironde and Nièvre remain in orange.

Vigicrues reports “major floods” in progress on Armançon, in Yonne, and on Arroux, in Saône-et-Loire. “On the Armançon, the flood peak was reached at the station by Aisyspecifies the organization. The flood wave propagates downstream. The level will rise quickly at Tronchoy station during the day.” On the Arroux side, the flood peak was also reached at the Etang-sur-Arroux station.but “the level will continue to rise until Tuesday evening at the Rigny-sur-Arroux station“.
