Only Charente-Maritime is still placed on orange alert due to the risk of flooding, according to the latest Météo-France bulletin published on Saturday November 18 at 6 a.m. The flood of the Charente “is important” And “overflows are observed”notes Vigicrues, who adds that “by propagation of upstream flows, the trend remains towards a slight increase in levels in Saintes”. Vigilance ended Friday afternoon in Vendée, after being lifted in the morning in Nord and Pas-de-Calais.

Météo-France also lifted the orange alert on Friday for “strong winds” in Haute-Corse. The Frederico depression, which has crossed France since Thursday, “has moved away, causing the beginning of a drop in winds over Corsica”, explain the forecasters. Météo-France noted gusts “ranging from 150 to 170 km/h on Cap Corse, 100 to 120 km/h on Balagne and the Bastia region”.
