Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” won seven Bafta awards, including best film. “Anatomy of a Fall” received the Bafta for best original screenplay.

Thunderous applause at the Bafta ceremony in London: Christopher Nolan received the awards for best director and best film. These are his first Bafta statuettes. The biopic on Robert Oppenheimer, father of the atomic bomb during the Second World War, won in the most prestigious categories. Cilian Murphy, lead actor, received the best actor award.

Anatomy of a Fall, Best Original Screenplay

Anatomy of a fall, by French director Justine Triet, won best original screenplay, an auspicious award one month before the Oscars ceremony. The film is in the running for the Oscar for best film and in four other categories at the prestigious American ceremony, which will take place on March 10.
