Opening | The famous “smash burgers” of Chez Simon urban canteen in Longueuil

Chez Simon cantine urbaine has crossed the river to set up shop in Longueuil. The second franchise of the popular “smash burger” restaurant has taken over the former iconic Alfa building on Sainte-Hélène Street.

“It was really a mutual crush with Simon [Jodoin Bouchard] “, explains Mélanie Rivet, who owns the new franchise with her partner Maxime Lebas. It was the strong demand on the South Shore that convinced the couple, who are diving into the restaurant business for the first time, to open the canteen in Longueuil.

Chez Simon is already present in La Plaine, at the Time Out Market and, of course, at its original location in Tétreaultville.

In Longueuil, you’ll find the same tried and tested menu as the other branches. The smash burgers, poutines, hot dogs – with a touch of the American Southwest – are well executed. The team smokes the bacon and sausages on site and collects the meat each morning from the butcher shop in Montreal.

The canteen, which has been renovated while retaining the original look of the Alfa, has revitalised the area and expanded the range of good fast food. on the South Shore.
