A museum that takes the form of a visit to the football club stadium. “It is the president of the club, Baptiste Malherbe, who is at the origin of this project”specifies Samuel Ollivier.
“Guy Roux, it’s above all a certain idea of football”
A “part of the exhibition” is dedicated to Guy Roux, historic coach of the AJ Auxerre football club, indicates the journalist. Guy Roux spent 41 years at the helm of the club, winning four French Cups and a French championship title. “His club went from regional level to the European Cup”adds Samuel Ollivier. “Guy Roux is above all a certain idea of football. Nostalgic people remember his nightclub escapades to pick up the players. He had his informers at the toll booth to warn him that such and such a player had gone to Paris to go and play celebration”, recalls the journalist. Guy Roux is now 85 years old.
