After the Village, then Time Out Market Montreal, the popular Montreal Vietnamese pub Le Red Tiger has just opened a third address, in Shops Angus, this time, under the lg2 offices. Alongside Hoogan & Beaufort, Annette and Chope Angus, let’s just say that the area now has a great gourmet skewer.
“We really like the neighborhood, which is less known, where there are already good restaurants,” owner and founder Dan Pham also tells us. We thought there was a lack of an Asian neighborhood restaurant! » And to see the festive crowd flocking in on this first Friday evening of its discreet opening, at the end of February, no doubt, there was a shortage.
The atmosphere is there, in this decor designed by Atelier MRDK, in the same tones as the original Red Tiger. Neon lights, bright yellow bar, long counter, plants in abundance, very high ceilings give the place a joyfully industrial air. Many tables can also seat up to 90 people.

It is its dishes, but also its cocktails that have made the Red Tiger’s reputation. And there is no shortage of choices. In the photo: an Eye Tiger cup, a glass of Me Luv You Long Time, a Thai Colada and a draft beer.

On the menu side, we find here the same reinvented street food dishes that have made the Red Tiger’s reputation: green papaya salad, beef carpaccio, mini Vietnamese pancakes, varied skewers. Without forgetting the imperial rolls and especially the chicken wings, deliciously sweet and finger-licking delicious.
To drink, the famous cocktails are there again: Eye Tiger, Me Luv You Long Time, Thai Colada, the choices are endless. Ultimately, and within a few weeks, we are also thinking of putting together a menu for brunch on weekends. To be continued. Please note that Le Red Tiger is open to families during dinner hours, weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., as well as in the evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and from 5 p.m. to late from Thursday to Saturday.
