Ontario | Theft of a truck containing 2000 firearms

A truck carrying more than 2,000 firearms was stolen in Peterborough, Ont., on Sunday.

Police in the city northeast of Toronto were called early Sunday morning to a trucking business on Parkhill Road East. The truck that contained weapons with magazines was stolen from the yard, according to a statement from the police department. There would be no ammunition in the vehicle.

Officers inspected the area and the investigation was continuing into the late afternoon. The police considered this to be an isolated incident.
