The stolen trailer containing more than 2,000 firearms has been located in Ontario’s Peel Region, Peterborough police confirmed Wednesday morning.

The trailer was brought back to Peterborough, police said in a statement. Its contents will be inspected to ensure that nothing is missing.
The truck and trailer had been stolen overnight over the weekend from a trucking company on Parkhill Road East.
The police then indicated that the vehicle contained more than 2,000 firearms with magazines. The vehicle was recovered Tuesday in Brampton, but authorities were still searching for the trailer containing the weapons.
The investigation is continuing, since no suspect has been arrested in connection with this file.
