(Vaughan) Several people were shot and killed in a condominium unit in Vaughan, Ontario. York Regional Police say there are multiple victims.
The shooting occurred near Jane Street and Rutherford Road in a condominium building in a suburb north of Toronto. It is not known how many people are injured or the number of casualties at this time.
A York Regional Police spokeswoman, Laura Nicolle, said investigators are still determining the number of victims. According to preliminary information, there are at least five deaths.
A man believed to be the suspect has died following an interaction with the police force, York Regional Police said on Twitter.
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating the case.
