Great premiere afternoon in London. The Czech Marketa Vondrousova and the Tunisian Ons Jabeur challenge each other in the women’s final of Wimbledon, Saturday July 15th. For these two players who have respectively one and two Major finals to their credit, a victory would constitute a first major title. A favorite of the British public, the Tunisian world number 6 may even become the first African to win a Grand Slam.
Knocked down on Center Court by Elena Rybakina last year, as she was about to get her hands on the trophy, Ons Jabeur took her revenge in the quarter-finals, before offering herself the scalp of Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka. For her part, Marketa Vondrousova dismissed the American Jessica Pegula then put an end to Elina Svitolina’s fine run in the semi-finals. The two finalists met twice in 2023, for two victories for the Czech. Who will claim the title on the London turf? Follow our live.
