On October 29, 2020, three people lost their lives in the attack on the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption basilica in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), victims of stabbing by an assailant. A year later, a tribute mass was organized at the scene of the tragedy.

Political figures and citizens of Nice came, Friday, October 29, to pay tribute to the three victims of this murderous attack. An important moment for the people of Nice, already victims of a violent attack in 2016. They were numerous in front of the basilica, Friday afternoon, mostly anonymous, came to pay homage to their three deceased fellow citizens.
On October 29, 2020, a Tunisian entered the religious building and murdered three people, two faithful and the sacristan. The assailant, currently imprisoned in the Paris region, is awaiting trial.
