“Eleven years ago, I lost my mother. For me, it was a big episode in my life. Everything fell apart around me. I started music because my mom sang. Not a day goes by without me thinking about her. For me, blind auditions are a real milestone.” confided Louise in the portrait broadcast just before her performance. The one who finally chose to continue the adventure The Voice in Vianney’s team revealed to our colleagues that she and her mother had made a promise to each other shortly before her death, when she was just a young teenager of just 13 years old: “The first season of The Voice in 2012 was the first and last that I was able to see with my mother. And we made a promise that at least one of us would do the show” remembers the one who kept very few memories of her mother, due to a traumatic shock following her death.
She forgot all the memories of her mother
Indeed, in 2012, when her mother died, Louise put herself in a shell, and “hidden all memories” that she had shared with her mother: “I suffered a lot from this ordeal and my brain blocked out all the memories I had with her. The only memories I have left are photos of her. I spent many hours crying wondering what I could do to reconnect with my mother and I thought about music. That’s how it all started. But my mother passed away in 2012 and I have only been working in music for three years.” she explained. A modesty and an honorable fight for the one who has also been a mother for almost a year, and who paid a magnificent tribute to her mother, definitely proud of herfrom where she is.
