One of the two suspects in Sunday’s attacks in Canada has died and his body was found in one of the localities where the murders took place, police announced on Monday (September 5th). Damien Sanderson’s body bore several “visible injuries”. The other suspect, her brother Miles Sanderson is still at large and may have been injured as well, she added at a press conference.

At least ten people were killed on Sunday, September 4, in stabbing attacks in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, two localities in the Canadian province of Saskatchewanlocated in the west of the country. “Several other victims were injured, 15 of whom have so far been transported to various hospitals”according to the local police chief.

“Today’s attacks in Saskatchewan are horrific and heartbreaking. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones and those who have been injured.”Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacted on Twitter on Monday. Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe wrote about Twitter “having no words to adequately describe the pain and loss caused by this senseless violence”.
