One of the first influencers in Quebec: at 37, PL Cloutier wants to take a “distance” from social networks

After several years of entertaining his audience on the web, via traditional television, PL Cloutier today deplores the frantic pace of social networks.

“The formats are made short. To succeed in capturing the attention of the world, you have no choice but to be exaggerated […] I don’t want to become a parody of myself either,” he laments.

Host, blogger, TV researcher, speaker and most recently reality show contestant Big Brother, Pierre-Luc Cloutier has more than one string to his bow. Aged 37, he is one of the first influencers in Quebec, when he began his career on YouTube in 2011.

Influencer PL Cloutier, 37, is currently embarking on a shift in his career on the web, as he wishes to offer “more thoughtful” content, he says.

After experiencing a monster success on his channel, which even brought him on tour as far as France, PL Cloutier is beginning a “turn” in his web career, when he has just removed all his old videos from his YouTube channel. . “It’s not me anymore, I’m calmer than before and less ‘I’m a star and people are shouting'” he explains. The influencer now wants to offer more “thoughtful” content to their followers, he says.

He also admits to imposing a “distance” with social networks. He is also preparing a conference, focusing among other things on the “unhealthy” side of social networks, in which he tells in particular what made him recently “debuzz” the web.
