The only other album that reached this milestone is Abbey Road by The Beatles, released in 1969.
In 2022, vinyl sales continued to increase for a 17e consecutive year in the United States. According to Billboard’s American annual report, this is the second year in a row that the sale of vinyl records has surpassed that of CDs (unheard of since 1991).
