According to a Credoc study, 16% of French people say they do not have enough to eat.

In Asnières-sur-Seine, in the Hauts-de-Seine, faced with rising prices and with an income of 1200 net euros per month, a retiree cannot do without of a complement of races. “When you see that a plate of eggs, which I bought two, three years ago, for less than three euros, there they are at almost 7 euros for 30 eggs”says a man.

“There are registrations every day”

A difference also noticed by a mother, who does odd jobs and cannot afford to shop in stores. “Before it was not like that, now it has become expensive”, she says. An increase such that it is sometimes necessary to give up certain products. With inflation and the economic crisis, the number of beneficiaries has increased in this center. “In terms of registrations, this year we have 30 more than last year at the same period and there are registrations every day”, says Jacques Chabault, head of the Gennevilliers center. Today, according to a Crédoc study, one in six French people say they do not have enough to eat.
