A Syrian was killed on Sunday March 24 in an Israeli air raid in eastern Lebanon, a Hezbollah stronghold, according to the national news agency (ANI).
The man died after being seriously injured in an attack on his vehicle in Souairi, ANI said, adding that he was delivering food and that the car belonged to the owner of a supermarket.

Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in October, the Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbollah has exchanged daily fire with Israel on the Israeli-Lebanese border, in support of its Palestinian ally in the Gaza Strip. For several weeks, Israel has been launching air raids deeper and deeper into Lebanese territory against Hezbollah positions, accentuating the threats of open war.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, five Israeli strikes had already targeted a deserted Hezbollah center in the Baalbeck area, injuring four people living in the neighborhood, reported an AFP correspondent.
In response, the pro-Iranian movement said it had launched “more than 60 rockets” on an Israeli base and barracks serving as “Air Defense Command Headquarters” in the Syrian Golan occupied by Israel. No casualties or damage were reported.
