A person was found unresponsive after a fire in a mobile home, while a septuagenarian was attacked with a stab in the Beauharnois sector, in Montérégie, on Thursday.
The attack on the septuagenarian took place shortly after noon near 29th Avenue, according to a press release from the Service de police de Châteauguay (SPC).
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries before being met by the investigators.
In the same area, firefighters were putting out a fire that started in a mobile home in which an inanimate person was discovered.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, while investigators have been dispatched to the scene to try to find out more about the event.
