A brawl broke out during a village festival in Crépol in the north of the Drôme department, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche on Sunday November 19. A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death. Eight people were injured, two of them in absolute emergency. Eight others were taken care of by firefighters in a state of shock, France Bleu Drôme Ardèche learned from consistent sources. A 16-year-old boy died during transport to hospital
In total, 17 people were treated by the 39 firefighters involved, including the 16-year-old teenager. He died during his transport to the Lyon University Hospital, specifies France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. The two victims treated in absolute emergency were transported to the Valence hospital center. The mayor of Crépol, Martine Lagut, expressed her shock: “I feel depressed, because it’s not normal for things like this to happen in our small rural villages. It’s important gratuitous violence, it was very brutal and very violent.” Nicolas Daragon, mayor of Valence and president of the agglomeration, also reacted: “I now hope that the attackers, whoever they are, wherever they are, will be found quickly, put out of harm’s way and handed over to justice, from whom I expect a decision that is as severe as it is exemplary.”
An investigation into “intentional homicide” and “attempted homicide” was entrusted to the research section of the Grenoble gendarmerie, said the Public Prosecutor of Valence Laurent de Caigny. A psychological cell was opened.
