Strongly shaken by turbulence, a Boeing flying from London to Singapore had to make an emergency landing in Bangkok. A 73-year-old British man died in the incident.
Inside the plane, passengers are evacuated on stretchers and transported to the emergency room. Outside, ambulances, sirens blaring, surround the aircraft. The first images were taken on the runways of Bangkok airport (Thailand), where the machine made an emergency landing. “The plane landed at the airport, where the medical team was sent to the scene. There were many injuries and we had to put an emergency plan in place”said Kittipong Kittikachorn, airport director.
The Boeing carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members was initially scheduled to connect London (United Kingdom) to Singapore, before being diverted. During the flight, over the Andaman Sea, above Thailand, the plane suffered violent turbulence. He then fell 1,800 meters in five minutes, killing a 73-year-old British man and injuring 30 other people.
